Week 3 One Room Challenge: Sunday (Van Deusen) Blues
Benjamin Moore Van Deusen Blue
Its Sunday night (again), and I feel like I’m going to be sliding into home with this project… that is if I don’t get tagged out at home plate. I did not make as much progress on my Garden Foyer this week, but I will try to celebrate the wins. After much deliberation I landed on a blue paint color for the antique bench that Weedpatch studio will be working on. It will be Benjamin Moore Van Deusen blue. I love it because its rich but not too broody, I wanted to avoid a true navy which I think would not pop against the stone wall which this will sit in front of, and it needed to sit will with the fabrics I’ve selected for the cushions. I also ordered a bar cart and wicker urn and pedestal. The planters I would like to use from Bloomist are still on back order and the wicker urn and pedestal won’t be shipping for a month, so its not clear whether that will arrive before the end of the challenge or not. I’m a little discouraged by my lack of progress this week, but I have a few other projects in the air so I’m going to try to not let the Sunday blues get to me. This week, getting the flag sent to a framer will be a priority as well as a mirror, artwork and bar cart accessories… cheers to that!
